IVY Counselors Network is dedicated to advocating for the needs and aspirations of international students and their families. We look to advise, prepare, and support international students at every critical touchpoint of the student’s life-cycle journey: from initial school or university contact, informational assessment, application submission, several much-needed logistical services (student healthcare insurance and international payment facilitation for example), through delivering formalized academic programming and job internship opportunities post-graduation, and more. Our ultimate goal is to match the brightest students and with the optimal educational institution with complete transparency, professionalism, and individual purpose.
June Wang – Founder and President of IVY Counselors Network and June Wang SEED, her focus is on building and disseminating unique curricula and programs based on Design Thinking applying to international students and families, which is a transformational mindset that teaches students and cross-functional stakeholders to design disruptive, innovative solutions for product, service, strategy, and process problems in a way that places the end-user at the core of developmental co-creation activities. Our training is devised to address critical skill set gaps and leadership capabilities in the business domain that international students require and employers demand, from K12 through undergraduate and graduate education.
We structure our products and programming to best meet the needs of our international students and academic requirements, as well as deliver a curriculum recommendation that would provide our students with a set of creative thinking and problem solving techniques currently at the forefront of best-in-class business development methodologies in academia and industry.
Our DTracks programming for secondary school students aims to provide passionate learners with a concise, comprehensive view of the creation process – using a variety of analytical, practical, and theoretical skill sets to drive a deeper understanding of people’s unmet psychological and experiential needs. We then teach the students to apply subsets of these toolkits to solve problems and identify white-space opportunities, in the same way that we’re constructing the products and services we use in the world we live in today. Our programs include:
- DTracks ”Pathway” Program for International Students
- Customized DTracks Summer Program in Design Thinking (DT), culminating in DT Certification
